the installer should generally work on all Linuxes, but at the same time we can’t help with all of them. Linux Mint will probably work.
Whether Linux Mint or Ubuntu the main things are look and feel for what ever you like, Linux gives you personal choice. I switching from Ubuntu if that is the question one can install as something else choosing / mount point and not to reformat.
