#682 Which firmware version is best for Orbic RC400L?

Hello. I want to first say thank you to everyone who made this possible. With that said, I just got my used Orbic RC400L from ebay.

Anyways, I set up the Orbic and noticed I am on an outdated firmware. My current firmware is V1.1.5 And I believe I have seen firmwares at least up to V1.3.0 so my question is, is there a preferred firmware version for running Rayhunter or does it not matter which firmware version I have?

Btw, there’s a fella selling factory refurbished Orbics on ebay for $10.45 free s&h if anyone needs one cheap. It’s where I got mine. Also, if anyone needs a cheap US based sim that works with verizon locked Orbic units, Tello sells one for $3 on amazon. It costs $5.14 a month for the cheapest 1gb data-no voice service. There may just be other sims that are cheaper but I haven’t found them. I’m using it right now and it works.

moving this issue to a discussion, please review our CONTRIBUTING.md

I’m not aware of any major differences between firmware versions, I don’t think anybody pays attention to them when installing rayhunter so I think they’ll all work the same (in the case of Orbic, TP-Link is a different matter)

Thanks. I’ll stick with firmware 1.1.5 then if there’s no real benefit to upgrading.

And Yeah, I should of read contributing.md As you probably guessed, It’s my first time using github.
