#708 Franklin T9 RT717 T-Mobile Black Hotspot?

The Franklin Wireless T9 mobile hotspot uses a Qualcomm MDM9207-0 processor. Any idea if this hotspot is possible for rayhunter?

I think @cooperq mentioned at some point that they were looking into supporting Franklin t10

@wgreenberg and I are looking into how to root the T10 right now. The T9 has some known root exploits and should theoretically work with rayhunter as well, but it is unlikely we will focus on it since we have a bigger use case for the T10.

Any idea when the T10 might be supported? I’ve got one and would be happy to test.

@cooperq not that they’re hard to get, but I have around 25 decommissioned T9 (R717’s) that I could sacrifice for the greater good. I could send one or 2 over to you (if you’re stateside) if that helps at all, it’d be nice to get Rayhunter working on these. I already have mine rooted/downgraded/unlocked etc…

I am in the US. You can send one to me at EFF: Cooper Quintin C/O EFF 815 Eddy st. San Francisco, CA 94578

(if you send two I’ll give one to @wgreenberg as well)

Want me to pre-root them before sending? I have the files to root it saved. They’re not available on the site anymore, although once rooted all the commands/pages work.

rooting them is half the fun! Just send me the tips on how to root them you can email me at @eff.org

Disregard, I’m found the correct address.

Ok, they’re in the mail, I’ll be emailing you a google drive link with all the files I’ve accumulated.

This would be awesome, t-mobile was giving them fur free at one point in time.
