#792 tp-link 7350 v2.0 (UN/EU) – confirmed working

Hi, I can confirm that the XYZ v2.0 (UN - should be EU) works. I can access the web interface, there are no top warning bars, but there is a smiley face on the right side of the display.

Unfortunately, I bought a fairly old device, as no one on eBay mentions the hardware version number. I’ll give it a try without the warning bar, at least I can access the web interface and start my ray hunt that way.

As an additional hint for people without a colour display: something like a hyphen or an “X” could be a good indicator when you come across one.

Thanks, okay, that’s integrated. As I’ve read multiple posts saying that no SIM card is needed, do I need to insert one for the general search, or is it mandatory to have one inserted at least once? There are multiple ’‘How to’’ videos, but almost anyone inserts a SIM card.

“no sim card needed” is false. “no active sim needed” (as in, you buy a sim without activating) is sometimes true. whatever sim you use though, you have to keep it in

Thanks, so I’ll pick one up. Good to know, it might be wise to get a new one that isn’t activated, instead of using a disabled SIM that was previously lost and is still rotting around. I expect it to have my data somehow linked to it, so I won’t touch it at all. I’m stunned to see what’s behind all the signal downgrades I’m noticing here, going from 5G down to 3G.
